Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Hi! Welcome to the server
To start learning the language, you'll need to go through basic grammar and vocabulary. Many paper and online guides can do the job, but here's my personal recommendation: https://www.lawlessfrench.com/learn-french/french-for-beginners/
You'll also need to use a dictionary for vocabulary, when you need to translate a word in either language, WordReference is a great one: https://www.wordreference.com/
Just start by going through the basics a bit, try to find things that you like. After you got the basics down, you'll slowly need to start incorporating media in your routine, this can be reading books, watching videos, playing video games, talking to people on socials, anything that get you going and have you interact with the language.
If you want to push vocabulary training specifically, you can also use flashcard apps like Anki, but that's not a necessity: https://apps.ankiweb.net/ (free on every platform except iOS, but even then you can use the website)
The #1279421820654850162 channel has a bit more stuff, but is pretty unorganized as you may have noticed already
also yes, duolingo is extremely inefficient for learning
it is a game over an actual resource. It is optimized for retention and actively avoids making the user think even though this is what allows one to learn, in addition to explaining very little about how things work and why they work the way they do
j'ai trouvé ce dictionnaire qui fait français-russe https://glosbe.com/ru/fr
Are there any services adapted for Russians? I speak very little English, and even now I use a translator.
oh, I don't know, sorry.
Maybe you can find something there: #1274478223727656980
