Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
y, or en if something is happening from that place (using de)
So for example
Il vient de là (makes X place known to listeners), then goes on to say:
ouais, et quand il en vient ...
The 'en' replaces 'de' :
Ouais, et quand il vient de cet endroit ...
->
Ouais, et quand il en vient ...
Or
"je vais aller à là" points to Paris in the distance then
"J'y vais aller en mars"
*Je vais aller à Paris
or
Je vais y aller.
I know, but thanks ! I'm referring to when I would use à là or de là instead
Or 'J'irai là-bas.'
When do I use là? Is what I was asking poorly, sorry for that
Typically you'd use là with a verb like être
Or for example with manger, you can add ici/là/là-bas
Well you can say il y est too
Here y = à ça
Ig you're right
