Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
it's similar although there's a noticeable difference
In English, "I'm" is accepted as a contraction to "I am" universally. You could even see it in semi-official texts like game pieces.
In French "j'suis" is very much a non-official contraction, simply mimicking oral speech. You can't use it in anything other than informal chatting really
I have been seeing this in a couple songs mainly by Daniel Balavoine, but I have also seen it outside of music, so I was wondering. Thank you! ( ´∀` )b
lyrics often translate how stuff is pronounced. Here, it's important to show a contraction so you can understand "je" is not a full syllable when singing
That makes sense, thank you!
a lot of “bro” type guys i know reduce it down to « chu » often
or cht(word that starts with vowel sound)
similar comparison its like imma for im going to, you can't write imma in a paper but you can in text and song
actually “ma’s” is basically “ima” in french
