Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
DOP pronominal?
@toxic fog It's the first one here.
Assuming the person being woken up is male, else 'réveillée'.
Merci 🧡
The presence of an object pronoun doesn't change the auxiliary for a given verb. Pronominal verbs are an exception, they all use être instead of avoir.
Your sentence doesn't use a pronominal verb.
Right, I guess I was just getting a little confused on what a pronominal verb is
The grammatical term "pronominal" means "relating to a pronoun." You know that conjugated verbs (almost) always need a subject pronoun, but pronominal verbs need a reflexive pronoun as well. - Lawless French

Almost like it's the bible of French grammar.
I think the part that confused me is "relating to a pronoun." because in my head te is a pronoun
I've always wish I could find a site like it for the other languages I'm learning
When you do an action on yourself, the object pronoun matches the subject, that's why we get je me lève, tu te lèves, etc.
