Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
yes absolutely, this is partial immersion.
Some form of immersion is basically required once you wanna jump from "knowing the basics and understanding the theory" to "actually being able to understand things in a comfortable and natural manner"
This is something that needs to be implemented more and more in order to solidify your knowledge.
It can be done many ways. You can interact and talk with people, watch videos, play games, read books, anything really.
What you need is to use media that's motivating for you, that you can at least understand a bit, and that's at least a bit challenging. You don't need to understand everything, of couse. But you still need to focus a bit, just putting a video in the background while you're doing something else won't cut it.
Feel free to go at a pace you're comfortable with. Don't start switching everything to French at once.
Merci mon frère, je vais commencer à regarder alors.
On pourrait être amis ?
ah désolé, j'ai répondu en anglais
l'habitude
peut-être plus tard
pas tout de suite
Pas de problème, hahaha
