Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

The L in persil is pronounced by some people.

The trigraph -eil is its own thing for pronunciation

#

There are plenty of Cil words where the L is pronounced. Don't think there's a clear rule there

Totalement le l du persil est prononcé par certaines personnes. Moi je ne le prononce pas mais dans le sud de la France si. C'est comme cerf certains vont prononcer le f d'autres non.

The "l" in "persil" (parsley) is pronounced by some people. I don't pronounce it myself, but in the south of France they do. It's like the "f" in "cerf" (deer); some people pronounce it, others don't.
