Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
If there's a ne it should be only
But the ne can be skipped especially in speaking
But not every verb can use a "that"
But like if it's "that" it introduces sth else so it should be clear
When it's only it's an adverb
I mean, in English, if you just said 'that', how can I tell if you mean the conjunction or the determiner?
If I only see 'I know that', the sentence can either be 'I know that you are wrong (that = conjunction)' or 'I know that car (that = determiner modifying 'car')'
Context determines meaning, always
In the sentences « Je vois que tu as réparé ta voiture » and « Je vois que ta voiture », it's clear which is which because the former has another clause after it – which means it's a conjunction meaning 'that' – and the latter is followed only by an object – which means it's the restriction adverb meaning 'only'.
I will say in english the conjunction typically has a reduced vowel while the demonstrative typically doesn't, but the actually grammatical context is also important as you say
That is also true but again you used context which is in this case the sound of the conjunction versus the determiner
