I would say "t'as vu ?" (have trouble finding generic translations, "I thought so" can be used in widely different contexts)

I would simply say "c'est bien ce que je pensais" or "je m'en doutais"

i saw someone from belgium i believe say je me souviens as an answer a long time ago

makes me wonder why that’s the quebec provincial motto as opposed to je m’en souviens

like i know what it means

but even in stand alone phrases i’ve seen people just not say it!

they might say je me suis douté one day they might say je m’en suis douté another day

The Quebec motto being « Je me souviens » is there as a general statement that Quebeckers have a long history and that they ‘remember’ or hold this history in high regard

« Je m’en souviens » feels more specific like there is a thing that Quebeckers are supposed to remember but Quebeckers remember a lot of things
