Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
1- J'y serai rien que pour toi.
2- Je t'avoue que j'y connais rien, j'y comprends rien non plus.
2- Je suis là si jamais.
Si jamais is its own thing
If ever/if you need anything
Rien que is kinda its own thing too
It's like nothing but
« Je suis là si jamais tu as besoin. »
Like this?
Rien que pour toi = only for you, for nothing but you
Yea
U can say that too
But don't have to
Ah, ok. This was all in three separate conversations and I understood the gist of the idea, but the words itself were lost to me.
Rien, by itself means « nothing » but attached to other prepositions it changes meanings. ✅
"tu as une autre bouteille là si jamais"
Well it's just rien que really
It's like pour rien que toi
But very lexicalized
« Si jamais » is that like « if necessary »?
