Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
It's grammatically correct and makes sense
Who is the "your" in this sentence referring to? That impacts the translation
Hmm, that's harder to say. An unnamed lover, the reader maybe? I assume "votre" is probably too formal and I should use "ton" instead. Thank you for letting me know it was grammatically correct though, it didn't seem right but it also didn't seem wrong so I wasn't sure
Yup you got it ๐
Btw mind sharing your poem? If that's ok with you. I'm curious
Thanks for the help! I unfortunately can't share it at the moment because it is going to be summitted for publication and said publication doesn't allow for works that have been posted online. Once I hear back though (in like four months) it shouldn't be an issue. Kind of a silly rule imo but if you want the pay then you must obey ๐
You gotta figure out who both parties are and when it takes place
If they're lovers in like the 17th century it's vous
Well votre
If it's the reader probably votre
or if you're jacques chirac
