Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
trop ou très
you say of something it's "très bien" when it fits the needs exactly, it expresses validation
you say of something it's "trop bien" when it brings a surprisingly positive outcome, it expresses personal appreciation
can you give an example? im a little confused still
"tu me conseilles ce restaurant ?" (would you recommend this restaurant?)
1 - "oui, il est très bien" (yes, it's perfect)
2 - "oui, il est trop bien" (yeah, it's sooo good)
"c'était comment tes vacances ?" (how were your holidays?)
1 - "c'était très bien" (it was nice)
2 - "c'était trop bien" (it was so cool)
note that this isn't representative of how très vs trop is usually used with other adjectives
