Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
s'approcher is a pronominal verb
the "s' " part is a reflexive pronoun. When used in a sentence, it needs to match the actual subject, even in the infinitive
So it's also not "vous vous approcher"?
that's not the conjugated verb here
the main verb is "éviter"
Oooh okay, merci
avoid to [verb] => éviter de [infinitive]
the verb "éviter" is conjugated as "évitez" (imperative)
and "s'approcher" (to get close) is not conjugated, you still use the infinitive but replace "s' " with the appropriate reflexive pronoun. Because your sentence uses "vous", the appropriate reflexive pronoun is "vous"
"évitez de vous approcher"
Ooohh wow I see! Thank you
When you say that the first vous is a subject pronoun (the second one is the reflexive pronoun) and an infinitive can't have a subject
So you can't say tu te doucher, but you can say te doucher like in tu dois te doucher
