"perturber" can work but the most common way would be to use a completely different construction altogether like "il y a une carte que je comprends pas"

I think doing mostly theoretical studying and not so much speaking means that I still use "english" constructions in my french sometimes

Either il faut être if you mean "you" like people in general, or vous devez être
