Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

it's just one way of saying "about [someone]". The only other way that comes to mind is "à mon sujet" "à ton sujet" etc, but there might be other ways.

So instead of saying à propos de moi I should say chez moi?

you could say that too, it's just more words and I guess sounds more formal to me

chez moi sounds fairly familiar to me
