Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
this is the quote, i translated it from danish to english on my own
this is the version i have in english: I know there are things I did that you don't understand.
You know I have you, just tell me where and when.
Your never forgotten.
and this is what AI gave me from danish to french :D - Je sais qu’il y a des choses que j’ai faites que tu ne comprends pas.
Tu sais que je t’ai, porté où et quand.
Pas oublié
its just the last piece of the quote that seems quite off, it comes with this "You have never forgotten.", when i translate it back from french to english, instead of "your never forgotten".
im not sure if you can help with specific quotes, but i thought that i might as well give it a go :D
🇬🇧
I know there are things I did that you don't understand.
You know I've got you, just tell me where and when.
You're never forgotten.
🇫🇷
Je sais qu'il y a des choses que j'ai faites que tu ne comprends pas.
Tu sais que je suis là pour toi, tu n'as qu'à me dire quand et où.
On ne t'oublie jamais/Tu ne seras jamais oublié.
Unsure what exactly you wish to say with the 'You're never forgotten' part, so the translation for that bit may not be perfect.
What's the Danish?
its kind of personal, but i forgot a bunch of peopler in the past, so its just a memorabilia to myself, that i should not forget the people closest to me
kind of deep i know, but that translation is spot on! thank you very much :D
Ah, gotcha. Wasn't sure if I should go in the direction of 'I will never forget you' or keep it as 'You will never be forgotten'.
Glad to hear you're happy with it.
"on ne t'oublie jamais" sounds really odd to me.. grammatically ok but really out of place
There are other bits I feel might not be the most idiomatic but I'm not 100%, would need a native opinion I think
It's the part I'm least happy with, as I'm unsure how a French speaker would best phrase it. 🤔
"tu ne seras jamais oublié" isn't bad
That being said, the idea that this is referring to multiple people... Vous? It's hard without being in the mind of someone to know their exact intentions lol
