Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Actually I'm thinking to myself....maybe it's like "starless" we wouldn't say "starsless"...
I'm not french but I'll take a guess that it's like (without a star)
O ?
Yea
Can you explain? because I don't know what O is.
Zero?
The number?
Sorry I thought you were saying "oh?" I didn't think you misread
Oh I did misread...ok the number zero, I got you
I believe "sans étoiles" and"sans étoile" are both correct
after de/d' in negation, the noun can be plural or singular
depending on what you negate. Michel a une bicyclette-> Michel n'a pas de bicyclette. Vous n'avez pas d'amis?
If "the sky has many stars" then the negation should have 's' following the "étoile"
You can use the plural if the word only exists in the plural, if it would change meaning in the singular, if the situation would require the plural in the positive, or if you really want to emphasize the fact that there would be several in the positive even if not a requirement
