Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

What exactly would you like to know? Some specificity might help you find a response.

Alright so I struggled the whole day to create an account on Pole d'Emploi

#

Which is like a national platform for those who want to get hired in france. Now I live in romania I'm an itinerant teacher but because my gf will go to Nantes in september I'm going with her

#

And my french is a B1 she goes with erasmus because of her french skills and facculty

#

Is there other easier options than Pole D emploi? What do you recommend to find a job first or a place to stay?

#

I have a professional Europass CV and a more lighter one

#

My expectations are to start with something, no matter what.

#

Forgive me for my typing, but I am really stressed out as Pole site broke like 3 to 4 times and I wasted hours already.

#

I am really stressed with this platform, what else is to use for employment?

Your message is a bit all over the place.

  1. Pôle Emploi is now called France Travail.
  2. Were you able to successfully sign up for France Travail?
  3. If not, then what issues are you experiencing?
  4. You can try contacting France Travail directly with the phone number for calls outside of France. The phone number is + 33 1 77 86 39 49 and you can verify this from the link https://www.francetravail.fr/faq/nous-joindre-par-telephone.html
  5. I am not knowledgeable about the specific procedures that you will have to follow, but you can try to ask them directly.
  6. You may or may not need to initially still sign up with France Travail with regards to your situation, work, etc. I am not an expert.
  7. If you are wondering more about specific E.U.-level rights to work within France, https://www.service-public.fr/particuliers/vosdroits/F2651 may provide more information, or you may directly try to find other pertinent articles to your situation on the Service Public website or to contact a "France Services" to potentially ask for which procedures to follow.
  8. You may (or likely will) have certain procedures to follow if you plan to live in and work in France for more than 3 months. You can see some of this relevant information from the Service Public website.

One more thing are there courses or classes I can take once in france, how do they call it for the 6 months-12 months period, don't want a full 24 months master degree, but something like FLE to improve my french but also to go into working there as a teacher

I'm not sure what you're referring to. You can likely ask France Travail about opportunities to take FLE classes, but they may be quite limited (i.e., potentially only low levels, 1 time per week, etc) if it is through them. Otherwise, you would find a FLE course through paying for a full course, such as at l'Alliance française, other private schools, or at public universities (which have a division for FLE). I did this last one.

If you still have studies to complete, then you may be required to have a B2 for some or potentially most universities before you can enroll. I don't remember exactly.

#

As you mentioned that you're an "itinerant teacher", if you want to eventually work as a teacher in France, you will also have strict requirements for your level in French (as well as any other language if that is necessary), but I don't know which level is required.

#

If you can be more clear in what you're referring to, that would be appreciated. 👍

#

If you will be completing studies beforehand, then you will have to find the correct procedure to follow as an E.U. citizen.

If you're Romanian (as you said you live in Romania), then you can check Campus France at https://www.roumanie.campusfrance.org/ for the relevant pages for coming to study in France. You can also find the phone number to ask them about anything else related, such as what your options could be.

#

You'll need to certify your level of French with either a TCF or DELF/DALF, whatever is required for any programs (such as university or for any program related to becoming a teacher in France) in time for signing up, before enrollment ends. Test dates can be limited, so be careful of that.

#

I'm not familiar with the specifics steps that E.U. citizens take, but it may be that you only need to go through Parcoursup? You'll see the relevant information on Campus France.
