Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Hey harine
Hi 👋
so when you ask a question with "peux" and "je", you invert the order of je and peux
but the correct form is "puis-je"
for some reason
Does comment peux-je vous aider sound weird?
yeah
Je peux te poser une question ? : informal
Puis-je te poser une question ? : formal
Puis is the past of pouvoir?
no

it's the interrogative form of "pouvoir" at the first person of singular in the present
Hmmm that makes sense. Thank you, framboinnou!
You're welcome
I have a follow-up question.
Why does "vous" come before "aider?"
Object pronouns go before the verb they relate to. That's the normal word order in French.
The only exception is the positive imperative: Aidez-moi, lis-le, etc.
