Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Doesnt discuter take de? The answer should be dont?
But my teachers tell me its que
You are right, when de is involved, you use dont.
(That's when the preposition is alone and not part of a prepositional expression, otherwise you use de qui or duquel.)
See 18 and 19 for context 😭
Its my last year of highschool. Every mark means way much
They both should be dont? 18-19
You are correct, discuter du problème, and since du = de+le, the preposition is involved so you use "dont".
Tyvm! 😇
It's the same for 22 (discuter de la question) by the way.
I just noticed and was about to ask
For this 17 how did we know the answer is dont?
Les réalisations des scientifiques (the scientists' achievements). We have des (de+les) so you use dont. Yes, noun complements introduced by de will also have dont as their relative pronoun.
Is it like
La voiture de mon pere?
Yep.
That would be "mon père dont la voiture..." when you use the relative pronoun.
Offf
My teacher told me that if i found this formation
NOM---space--NOM then verb Être its dont. Any other thing could be que or ou
(I put la voiture near the pronoun assuming it's the subject of the clause.)
i see
It doesn't have to be être.
Example: La voiture dont le prix monte en ce moment.
Ill try to understand the meaning. If i coudlnt grasp if the verb have de or not.. ill put que
If the verb has de before the object => de
J'ai besoin du stylo => le stylo dont j'ai besoin
If we have noun + de+ noun => dont
J'ai pris les clés de la chambre => la chambre dont j'ai pris les clés
Les monuments de Paris sont connus dans le monde => Paris dont les monuments sont connus dans le monde
Sorry for keep bothering u. Could u tell me whats 6 like
Why not celles
We have économise in singular, not économisent, so celle is appropriate.
Then whats 13 like
I think now thats all i have
Ty for everything btw!!! 😇
Yes?
Celles? Problème is masculine.
But why not ceux
So there is only one option.
Even if its not in option
They would have put it in final test 😭
If you want to say work is one problem among many, celui is the way to go.
