Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
There are 41% of people staying home. Among the people staying home (a portion of the total population), 19% see vacation as luxury beyond what they can afford.
I don't feel like any of the answers are appropriate
So if we've got 41% of people staying home, there will be 59% of people going somewhere, which is the majority.
If I'm reading the colors proprerly, that site is saying C is correct though
yeah c is correct and i chose d
what an annoying question. all the answers could be correct depending on how you interpret the statistics and the language.
If we assume that "rester à la maison" and "partir en vacances" are the only two options, if either A or B were true, then both A and B would have to be true, since you can't have half of one without half of the other. unless you can choose multiple answers, that rules out A and B.
In order for C to be true, either:
- the term "majority" would have to refer to a relative majority of 41% (which isn't usually how the term is used), or 2) there would have to be a group of people in the 59% of people who will not "passer leur vacances chez eux" who would "rester à la maison" comprising more than 9% of the total population. For example, if there were a third group who wasn't going on vacation at all, and that was considered to satisfy "rester à la maison".
D looks true on the surface (it's what i would have picked) because 41% "passeront leur vacances chez eux" which means 59% will NOT "passer leur vacances chez eux". You could take that to mean that 59% will vacation elsewhere, but unfortunately there's also the possibility that a third group exists, for example, people who won't take any vacation at all. If the third group was greater than 18% of the population, then D wouldn't be true in any sense, relative majority or not.
in conclusion, there's not enough information and i think the test is bad
ig the tcf test is bad cause these are the type of questions in it 😭 and i have to pass it somehow
but some people in the other channel did come up with a good reason for c to be the correct answer
thank you for saying everything i wanted to say but didn't have the energy to 🙏 j'suis tout a fait d'accord
it's maaaaybe the correct answer but you have to do so much logical thinking
i knoww and thats the problem its a timed test so i cant just get stuck for long on one question
during the actual test
this was just a practice one so its okay
and it's still dependent on your interpretation bc it's unclear, and this test is meant to check for your french comprehension, not your logic skills
💔
tell that to the people who make the test 😩
pourquoi est-ce que tu dois passer l'examen?
pour devenir un citoyen ici au canada
oh la
courage à toi
merçi bcp!
