in that "préférée" does agree with "émission". It's a feminine noun, just like "télé"

only mistake is "quoi qu'il en soit" => it means "whatever" in the sense of "whatever, let's talk about something else"
you can just use "ou quoi qu'il en soit"

yes I did... and thank you ! that's super helpful feedback. in my head I didn't know what it was called so I was thinking more in the lines of "whatever else it may be" is there a fitting expression or is it something that doesn't translate well into french ?
