Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
a2-b1 took me about a month and a half
a2-b2 took about 2.5 months
This may not apply to you since I could already speak Spanish fluently before learning french so I had a bit of a headstart
A2–B1 would be maybe three months?
A2-B2 would be a few years
It's going to depend on the frequency and intensity of your studies as well as the languages you can already speak. Reaching B2 will take a year minimum from zero so from B1 maybe six months to a year?
B2 is like an island. There's a sizeable gap between B1 and B2, and between B2 and C1. B2 is basically the point where you've become so adept at the language that you can be considered 'fluent' but you lack the cultural expressions and ease that would be the mark of C1 learners.
b2 is that difficult? well i don’t mind anyway haha thanks for letting me know
B2 is the High Intermediate level. At this point, you're at the low end of fluency. You're able to spotaneously and clearly speak in the language, explain things, and participate in conversations – be they abstract or not – in detail with not that many gaps in your vocabulary
do you have any tips that helped you to actually begin understanding speech and saying sentences without planning it too much?
All of it is just consumption
Consume media but don't consume blindly
Try your best to understand
If you can't understand half of what's being said, you've gone too far
