"pour lui donner de conseil" -> ||"pour lui donner des conseils" -> because the word "conseil" is generally used in the plural in this context||
"La dinde lui a conseillé" -> ||"La dinde lui avait conseillé" or "La dinde lui conseilla" -> "lui a conseillé" (passé composé) is grammatically correct, but to keep the unity of time (passé simple) in a narrative, use either formulation depending on whether the action has already happened, or whether it happens now ||
