Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
« le, la » are used for direct objects
« lui » are used for indirect objects under the preposition « à »
The different between direct and indirect objects is that there exists a preposition, say « à, sur, de, pour » before the noun that is inseparable
so if there is a preposition in front of the object, it will be indirect
right?
Yes
but not all indirect objects can be replaced with « lui, leur »
(lui for singular, leur for plural)
what about using "y" as indirect object
i heard you can use it
oh ok
