Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

English translation for hints if you need them:
||'Élise woke up full of energy. She felt calm and rested because it was sunny when she opened her eyes. The weekend has come and she didn't have any work to do. She sat up and stood up, ready to do nothing. She headed to her desk and took her phone placed on top of it. She took a look at the time: it was 8 o'clock. After she had started working five days ago, she didn't have any time to enjoy the morning. When she didn't have a job, she had the habit of waking up at ten every morning but she could no longer do that during the weekdays. She missed her habit of sitting on the terrace. While remembering it, Élise made a promise to start to better enjoy the morning time. She got out of her room and she went to the kitchen. There, she turned on the stove to make some coffee for herself. Once ready, she poured some hot water in her cup before leaving the kitchen. Once on the terrace, she sat down on a chair and sipped her coffee. She closed her eyes and focused on the birds singing. She breathed out slowly. It would be a good day.'||

English translation:
||'When Pierre and Camille were kids, they used to do everything together. They went to church together, they went to school together, etcetera. Camille lived next to Pierre and she befriended him. When they were at junior high school [secondary school], everyone thought that they were a couple but the both of them always denied that it was the case. However, one day during the summer holidays, Pierre had a sudden realisation. He was thinking of his future when he thought of his adult life. There, he saw Camille and there was no one else but her. He couldn't see a life without Camille, without his best friend. Camille had already gone on holidays so he couldn't see her. In spite of that, he couldn't stop thinking of her. He didn't know at what moment everything had changed for him but he realised that he had fallen in love with Camille. When the summer holidays ended and Camille went home, Pierre made a promise to himself to tell her the whole truth. The following day, before going to school like they did, he told her what had happened to him during the summer holidays. He told her that he loved her and that he hoped that she would love him as well. Once she had listened to his love confession, she stayed silent for a few seconds. Pierre was scared that she wouldn't accept it. Then, she smiled shyly. Without saying a word, she got closer to him and kissed him.'||

#

Although for that second one, one of the answers can either be passé composé or imparfait depending on your perspective

#

This is the tricky thing about determining one or the other: They are very contextual
