Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
what makes you think it's feminine? I assume you're talking about the noun being feminine and not the question itself
Secretaire ends with an e
And than you have belge but i dont remember if its both feminine and masculine
that doesn't mean it's feminine, masculine words end in e all the time
belge doesnt change
So c’est le secretaire belge is a masculine sentence
a sentence isnt masculine or feminine
"secrétaire belge" could be masculine or feminine
Mhmm
"le" is always a masculine pronoun, "la" is always a feminine pronoun
again, the sentence itself isnt masculine or feminine, only the noun can be, and pronouns and adjectives can agree with it
you're not being "more specific" by having a pronoun, it's just part of the sentence, and it will agree with whatever gender the noun is
Mhmm okay
I'm assuming "translate the sentences to masculine" is literally what the homework says which seems to explain some of the confusion
