Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

French is likely more useful in technicality, but if you're still unable to understand much of anything, it might be better to start with English subtitles
There's no right or wrong way, just what keeps you motivated & enjoying it. If both are about the same to you for that, I'd lean towards french subtitles
french subtitles are the best for learning, for me i don't learn when there's English subtitles but it helps you get a gist of the language
