if you're making plans, would you use one or the other depending on how far away the planned date is then?

par example:
tu peux pas venir ? pourquoi, t'as qqch de prévu ce soir ?
tu peux pas venir ? pourquoi, t'as des projets à ce jour-là (on dirait une date dans plusieurs semaines ) ?

est-ce que ça fonctionne comme ça ?

En fait un projet c'est vraiment un plan complet pour qqchose d'unique, pas juste une soirée
