Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

Some verbs can have many, sometimes Wordreference will have possible prepositions, sometimes wiktionary too I think?
CNRTL is probably going to be one of the best resources for that but isn't super beginner friendly
Otherwise, just learn it as you come across it with prepositions or a lack thereof
