Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

Tongue = langue (👅) en français

The English t and d sounds aren't pronounced with the tongue quite as advanced as in French, but tbh it's a very small difference that you don't need to focus on unless you're trying to completely erase a foreign accent

is there any advice you can give me to improve my pronounciation?

I mean, something nearly all learners need to accept at some point is that you're going to have an accent and you're not going to sound fully like a native speaker – and that's okay

If we get into technicalities, an English /t/ is pronounced with the tip of the tongue on the alveolar ridge, while a French /t/ is pronounced with the tip of the tongue just behind the upper front teeth and the blade of the tongue against the alveoral ridge. (Keep in mind that different speakers will have slight variations on this)

*lorsque vous prononcez le t en français, est-ce que votre langue devrait toucher l'arrière de vos dents/des dents

ahh j'etais me demandant si q devrais-je utilizer "est-ce que" en place de "devrais"

#

donc c'est "est-ce que ... devrait ...? " pour dire "should ...?"

Yk there's 3 ways to ask questions in French
You should look into that

#

Inversion is really formal

#

But yeah devrais is basically should
But be careful of the conjugation, it's devrait for 3rd person singular only
