Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Wordreference and Wiktionary are pretty good for checking idioms, and you can always ask about specific ones here
oh no i meant as in french expressions itself, everytime i search how to say 'french expressions' in french, it wont show up! also, on a diff note c'est marche means it works right? i keep getting something abt a market so it confuses me
desolee, i must be confusing so so sorry
Ça a marché (It worked) or Ça marche (it works)
"ça marche", "c'est un marché" would be "it's a market", the "être" is confusing whatever you're using to look it up
It worked = ça a marché
Expressions françaises/en français
merci, i forgot about that! i have an english keyboard so thats my fault
how would i say it works, as in 'will you be available next tuesday' 'yea sure, it works' context
"françaises" will work better if you're emphasizing from France, "en français" if you want to really emphasize that it's in French and not specifically from France
Ça marche
d'accord, merci beacoup! this helps a lot and thank u for taking ur time to aidez moi!
