Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
avoir de la vapeur / de la fumée qui sort de la bouche ?
there's not a fixed expression that I know of
De la buée
Oh not on glass?
Idk
There isn't a specific word for it in English either
condensation?
Yes
In the air, not on glass or anything
Just the general expression, like how you'd say "It's so cold, my breath is fogging up"
I'd use the two options I gave you
So in a sentence, "mon souffle a de la vapeur" would sound fine?
Or maybe just "Je peux voir mon propre souffle" would be a natural equivalent
Il fait tellement froid que je vois de la vapeur sortir de ma bouche.
That can work.
