so the masculine is auteur
the feminine is autrice
Because Instagram doesn’t know the gender it puts both auteur and autrice. To save space, it’ll take the masculine and put the feminine ending in parentheses or dots.

auteur(rice), écrivain(e), professeur(e), etc etc
