Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Like how to speak faster because everytime I try I have to stay and wonder a lot how to say bla bla. I know it takes a lot of practice but I wanted to know if someone could give me some tips
I'm afraid I am in the same boat. I presume talking confidently just comes with time. Attempt everything and try to translate everything you know (or want to say) into french.
My parents have kind of gotten sick of me just saying french things around the house, just because i am trying to reflect my feelings into French instead of my mother's tongue, English.
Immersion is key
Also, If you don't know how to say one thing specifically try to 'dumb it down' into something you do know. Especially if its a complex sentance and you need to respond on the spot.
Think of things you know how to say so you can say it confidently
then, obviously, you can explore how to say that phrase in a different way you originally intended to.
If you need a penpal you can send a message here #correspondances
Thank you I also respond to my parents in French to exercise, and they say it's annoying but it's my exercise so yea😅
What's a pen pal??
A correspondent, someone you keep in touch with through indirectly like with the internet
Ohhh okay
Basically someone you can practice French with
