The adjective for holiday wishes: bon/bonne vs. joyeux/joyeuse
It's just associated with some phrases… I don't think there's a rule you can find
for that matter is it "Happy Christmas" or "Merry Christmas"? (the answer is that it depends on the dialect you speak)
So would "Bon Joyeux Noël" work as well
