Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
'Quand' means 'when'. For instance, 'Quand on n'a pas d'argent, on est pauvre.'
As far as I know, it's generally used in the same way as it is in English and German. Perhaps you have a specific question pertaining to the usage of 'quand'?
How do I use it in a subordinate sentence
Do you know how to use "when" in a subordinate sentence in English?
Like "I sweat a lot when it's hot"?
It works pretty much the same way in French: "Je transpire beaucoup quand il fait chaud"
