Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
You can ask right here, no need for DMs
I have a problem with acknowledging where to use pronom relatif "lequel", because when I look at the examples I can just use "que" or "dont"
Can you share these examples?
You typically can't replace lequel with que
Lawless French provides a good explanation too https://www.lawlessfrench.com/grammar/relative-pronoun-lequel/
for example: "Voici la femme laquelle je parle." is that correct or I should say "voici la femme dont je parle"?
yeah I think I didn't mean to write "que" but Im just mixing everything after 4 hours of studying, sorry
These constructions mean different things
La femme dont je parle -> The woman I'm talking about
La femme à laquelle je parle -> The woman I'm speaking to
