Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
personally i would try to cram as much vocabulary as you can so you can start reading as soon as possible, since that's when learning a language really accelerates. once you can read at a basic level youll be able to learn from movies/tv shows with subtitles, kids books, etc and youll find it way more engaging
agreed, I find listening is virtually impossible unless you know vocabulary about the topic they are discussing, otherwise the words blur together and you can't understand anything
I suggest continuing with basic vocabulary that comes up often in conversation, though you can still do listening as well of course!
I would focus on getting comfortable with the present tense before looking at any of the past tenses. The present is pretty fundamental
and it is very tricky sometimes with irregulars
