Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

Je suis fou ou j’ai fou

chaud is both an adjective and a noun

#

but fou is just an adjective

#

so you can't say avoir fou anymore than you can say to have crazy in english

#

être fou is what you want to say

#

also fou is more like crazy in terms of intensity than it is like insane

#

say more

#

obviously hard to make a direct comparison but saying insane is basically always stronger than crazy in english

If the context helps, I'm kind of trying to make a general statement like "This is going to drive me insane" or "Im going insane", so I would assume a phrase one could use is "Je vais être fou", but if there is better set of vocabulary to use, that would be very helpful

Devenir/rendre fou is what you're looking for

#

Not "I will be crazy"

Je suis fou _le verbe étre est toujours utilisé pour décrire un sentimnt ou quelque chose comme ça [adjectif] toujours avant l'adjectif status

#

I know I'm not good at explaining
