Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
That would be the demonstrative adjectives. Do note that French demonstratives don't distinguish distance so if that's important, you can add the suffixes -ci or -là for near/far things respectively.
Examples
« Je veux cette chaise »
–> This can be translated as either 'this chair' or 'that chair', it doesn't matter since distance is not important
« Je veux cette chaise-ci, pas cette chaise-là »
–> Distance is important as it distinguishes between the chair closer to the speaker and the chair further away from the speaker so we add -ci/-là.
