this isn't common though 🤔 never heard of it in day to day live, neither while reading or watching anything

we would just say "il faut penser à soi" or something like that, and depending on the context, I would say something like "tu peux pas donner si t'as rien" but it isn't a "fixed" sentence like an idiom or something, it's just me lol

"on ne peut pas être partout" or "on ne peut pas tout faire" would be the closest translatation i can think of rn

"il faut recharger ses batteries"

"prendre soin de soin avant de prendre soin des autres"

etc.
