Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

Hello !
Yes, you can use "ignorer" as the common form of "ne pas savoir". But this verb will be more used as if you wanted to say "don't pay attention to".

For some reason, French-dubbed movies and shows love to use "je l'ignore" instead of more common phrases like "je sais pas", "j'en sais rien" or "aucune idΓ©e".
It's 100% correct but people rarely say that IRL.
(In case that's where you heard it)

yeah, dubs tend to focus a decent bit on lips and pacing

imo "ignorer" in that sense is kind of formal/old?

d'ailleurs, fwiw, en anglais "ignore" n'a pas le sens "ne pas savoir" Γ§a a uniquement le sens de "ne pas prΓͺter attention"
