Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
« ne... que » indicates a restriction, unlike « ne... pas » which indicates a negation
so while « Je ne peux pas être d'accord » means "I can't agree",
the sentence « Je ne peux qu'être d'accord » means "I can only agree"
I thought the second one meant “I can’t agree more”
but it means “i can only agree”. I guess it literally means that but it’s used as “I can’t agree more.” ?
yeah
tysm for clearing up my confusion
"I can only agree" and "I can't agree more" do have similar meanings
