Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
surely you can't just get rid of articles for fun?
When two nouns are connected by "et", you can get rid of the articles. But this is optional and pretty formal.
"Il tuerait père et mère pour obtenir ce poste."
"Femmes et enfants furent réunis sur la place."
"Mais suffit-il de changer les lois pour que femmes et hommes deviennent vraiment des semblables ?"
"Les pompiers ont distribué boissons chaudes et couvertures de survie."
Technically, connaissances et savoirs should've been connaissance et savoir, if you use plural, it should also use an indefinite article.
In singular, it could be seen as a uncountable and a very abstract idea which makes it hard to definite with an article, theoritically in cases like this, you will find cases where this can happen. For the most part, remember that in a case like this, it is a figure de style, and not something that is the normal use of grammar. Normal people would use articles here.
You could also bring the argument of the parataxe, where the conjunction is a simili separation of two elements, instead of a comma.
For the most part, this structure is not something you should focus on, even when writing formally, it's pure literacy fashion.
Interesting thanks for the insight
