Where is that sentence from?
Normally an expression of quantity (here tant) is followed by a simple preposition "de". That's unless the name is specified.
That's why I second Casca here.
I'm also wondering why savoir was used over connaître.
I just created it. And then I put it into a translator with “I don’t know so many words” and it said the same thing but with connaître and with des. That’s why I asked
