honestly we mostly just use the English words for things
sometimes stuff gets translated
so like a "thread" could be "un thread" or "un fil", for instance

French people who use discord are generally pretty comfortable with English so it's often easier to just use English terms

It's just that technological terms are often just borrowed directly from English
In very formal situations, like say a news report, people might opt for the 'native French' versions
But in informal situations (like a Discord chat) using the English word is fine
