Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

What do you think you should put instead?

unkempt pier
#

idk in english probably omit des entirely

#

what does the des stand for in this case?

dim thicket
#

Des is the plural form of un/une.

#

French is different from English.

unkempt pier
#

i was unsure of the meaning i suppose

opaque hatch
#

but yeah the main difficulty ia going to be identifying whether du/de la/des actually means "of the" or if it means "some"

#

which is done through context

#

so yeah it's just "some" but in french you can't omit it as you can in english

unkempt pier
opaque hatch
#

yeah, are some low to the ground plants

#

like you would never say that in english

#

but you can use it as a substitute in your mind

#

and yeah don't forget you can't omit it
