Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
You can't say "Greg est dormir" in French. You can say "Greg dort" or, to insist on the fact that he's currently doing it, "Greg est en train de dormir"
So if you ask "Que fait Greg?" (Asking what is Greg doing). I can either say "Greg dort." Or "Greg est en train de dormir"? Depending on the connotation I want?

yeah if you would translate "greg est dormir" it would mean "greg is sleep" so yeah it doesn't make much senses
