and can pour (when talking about time duration) only be used with verbs in le futur ? ex, would "j'vais suivre l'homme pour 2 semaines" ?

I'm pretty sure pendant/durant are near synonyms, I can't think of any differences off of the top of my head though I'm sure there's some kind of nuance in there
so pour can only be used with verbs in le futur tense ?
like the -ais -ait stuff
Pretty sure it's not that strict, I doubt it, but as far as I can think of it only works for the future of the narration
