Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Hey there! First of all, know that I'm proud of you for wanting to improve. Your situation can't be easy and you struggling in no way makes you dumb, despite you feeling that way.
What helped me the most was just talking (texting) to others in French as much as possible.
Later I would start to read comics so that the images would aid in providing contextual clues if the text was too difficult at times.
#anglais-français is a great place to start, and #français-débutant and #français are good places to improve.
hey thanks for your nice words 🙂 i wrote a text and translated it to french and now i read it out loud as often as i can i also started to watch easyfrench videos. i am for sure gonna try to read comics and talk to french people. but it just feels so unreachable
(I'd link the first one, but a role prevents me from going there.)
no problem :))
It can definitely feel hard to attain at first. Progress is also slow, and you often won't realise how far you've come until you look back months later.
